What Is Life?
“You don't even know what your life tomorrow will be!
You are like a puff of smoke, which appears for a moment
and then disappears.
What you should say is this: If the Lord is willing, we
will live and do this or that.” —James 4:15

When I turned 11 I went to the Plaza (Bayamón) and got this at
the Photo Box they had. Remember? They were about the size of a
closet. You paid 50 cents and out you were!

The Tesltars were the first professional band I played for
(c.1967); although I had been playing for 3 or 4 years in
"marquesina" (carport) groups like The Marvins, The Palo Seco
Nuts and one more I can't recall. Whew!

We wanted to do the Beatles this, were you had to be in
the air...rather than just posing as if you were running
in the air.

The Miramar center was the place to be in the mid 60s.
I'm playing a Fender Jaguar that I stupidly had traded
for a real Les Paul SG with the mechanical Vibrola. I
had sent the Jag to Fender USA to be painted candy apple
red. Good action!

Doing a soundcheck at the Hiram Bithorn stadium in a
Battle of the Bands. We played against the Living End
who were more seasoned than us, but the audience rooted
for us, hands down! MC Orville Miller gave the win to
The End, cuz they were friends. Such was life!

This photo got wet. Victor had left the Bass position
for Rafi to fill in. How did I play the Jag all the way
up there on my chest? Most times, I was a bit gregarious
(show off). Ahem!
