Affirm Someone Today
t's been stated that the human persona craves for
validation, affirmation and a profound sense of belonging.... YES... yes
(don't throw it in my face later) YOU ME, HIM all of US, have an innate
sense of desire for fulfillment of the "self". WE want to belong.... yes,
belong here and there; belong to our spouses and parents and this club and
that other club, and people who validate us.
Enter the LATEST phenomenon in social interaction... the ubiquitous FACEBOOK.
I joined because I heard that ALL people who are important and influential,
belong there, too. Celebrities of all caliber NOW do the FB thing. So
I go join in... and start looking for "friends", friends who are important
and might make me feel good about myself. I've "met" The Hon. Secretary of
State of Puerto Rico, who is a great guy and has written a couple of blurbs
for me. Then I "met" other celebs, authors, movie people, singers, famous
Puerto Rican celebrities, et al... ALL looking for affirmation in higher
places.
Then I noted that they weren't answering my posts because I was not "what
they weren't looking for." They desire, crave validation from others bigger
than themselves!!!, not simple folk like me, so I stopped posting for
them.... and spend my time and effort giving my best to... GUESS WHO? You!
Yes, YOU... the taxi driver, the school teacher, the secretary, the common
laborer, the barber, ad libitum.
You take me. You accept me. You validate and affirm me. WHY? beacuse you
know I don't want anything in return. There are thousands of you out there
and at times get a message or two telling me... "Well done, Don Jíbaro" or "pa'encima"
or "You da' man!" (Of course I cry!) YOU ARE SINCERE in appreciating me for
what I do for us! Build us UP.
Gratefuly, I surrender to the love of those I love who love me. ...I've
devised, as you know by now, a way into invite you to read my latest
offering... I take a shot of the page and send it to you.
The art of the spoken word is critical in crafting our
futures. As a teacher of spirituality, it is my firm belief that we
influence the universe word by word. If we dictate to it our wishes, it will
respond. When we utter a sound, we emit a sound wave into the universe. This
sound wave pierces through the air and becomes a real object. It therefore
exists in our world, intangible and invisible.
No words are empty words, as every syllable we speak engages energy towards
or against us. If you constantly say "I can't," the energy of your words
will repel the universal force against you. But if you say "I can!" the
universe will endow you with the abilities to do just that.
So speak away;
relinquish your fears and purge your anger, predict your own future and live
up to your potential with the 35 affirmations that will change your life:
1.) I am the architect of my life; I build its foundation and choose its
contents.
2.) Today, I am brimming with energy and overflowing with joy.
